THE BEACHES
There is a selection of different beaches on the Adriatic shores, in close proximity to Villa Silvana's apartments and because of its prime location, you can also have the choice of the Ionian sea which is around forty minutes. The nearest beaches are;
Savelletri (10 min) which has a rocky shore with small sandy coves and crystal clear water, in places the olive trees grow close to the waters edge and there is a wonderful selection of small marine grottoes and caverns.
Torre Canne is to the right (15min) which is well known for its long sandy beaches, lined in a few places with large hotels, this offers a safe child friendly shallow beach but just a few kilometers further and you will find endless unspoilt secluded beaches with tall dunes and typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Capitol is to the left (15 min) its beaches are less wild but has a fine selection of water sports and Modern facilities including well equipped lidos. Most of these beaches have a selection of sea lapping shore side trattorias and cafes where the fish are virtually caught right there and there is almost an endless choice of fruita de Mare.
The most important thing is that these coast lines offer a very clean natural environment where you can soak in the warm Mediterranean sun and enjoy the feel of the sand, the sight of the sea and the sound of the surf.
